Health issues of the mother should be addressed months before she conceives. The state of health and nourishment of the mother is extremely important to the state of health of the growing and developing baby. Her diet and her exposure to environmental toxins affect the baby as much, or more so, than they affect her.
Most people are aware of the importance of taking certain supplements during pregnancy, but they really should be started preconception. The first trimester (3 months) of the pregnancy is all about laying the proper foundation for the baby’s development, especially that of the brain, nervous system and heart. Since we can’t really know the exact date that conception will occur, it is very prudent to already be taking those important supplements to fully nourish the early stages of baby’s development.
I discuss my recommendations concerning these issues in this short video. Pregnancy generally turns out best when it is thoughtfully planned!
